The QSFP28 optical module is designed for 100GBASE Ethernet, using an MTP/MPO-12 connector and 850nm wavelength to achieve transmission distances up to 100 meters over OM4 multimode fiber (MMF). This 100G SR4 QSFP28 module also supports breakout to 4x25GBASE-SR SFP28 via MTP/MPO-8 to 4xLC duplex OM3/OM4 breakout cables. Compliant with IEEE 802.3bm 100GBASE-SR4 and CAUI-4 standards, it provides digital diagnostics via the I2C interface defined by the QSFP28 MSA for real-time monitoring.
