The 40G SWDM4 BiDi QSFP+ optical module is used for 40Gb Ethernet links over duplex multimode fiber. This module complies with QSFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ba XLPPI standards. The SWDM4 module enables migration to 40G and upgrade to 100G networks using existing 10G duplex multimode fiber infrastructure. Digital diagnostic functionality is available through the I2C interface specified by QSFP+ MSA, allowing access to real-time operational parameters. It features a bidirectional design, with the transmit port performing 40G transmission through 4 different wavelengths (850nm, 880nm, 910nm, and 940nm).
